*When infused: 243 physical dmg/126 elemental dmg and B scaling with chosen element. Str scaling changes to E. Dex scaling changes to B.
Scythe of the Forlorn is a weapon in Dark Souls 2.
Scythe of the Forlorn, who wander the land of the Undead.
The King's elder brother Aldia sought to overcome the curse through means unalike his sibling's.
The Forlorn were born of Aldia's sinful infatuation.
Acquired From
- Purchased from Straid of Olaphis for 7500 souls.
- This weapon is a Scholar of the First Sin exclusive for Ps4, Xbox1 & DX11
Hints and Tips:
- Scales with hollowing, like dark pyromancy flame.
- Upgraded with Twinkling Titanite to +5.
- This weapon, like the Greatsword of the Forlorn, performs best when infused with bleed. It gets an incredible amount of bleed damage and loses only a tiny amount of normal/dark damage. The dark scaling is also BETTER than when you infuse it with dark.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

i honestly want to hurt the dumbass from 9 years ago who wasted such a dope design on such a dogshit weapon with an even more dogshit mechanic

Any reason to use this instead of Greatsword of the Forlorn?

Infuse with bleed to make a poor man's Lifehunt Scythe... a very, very, very poor man's Lifehunt Scythe.

looks amazing. does crap damage, fully hollow or human, bleeds fast though 3-4 hits
a bit of testing and it seems that being fully hollow gives about 25% more damage, no good. especially for how late game you get it

The Dark scaling gets worst on the Dark infusion, what the ****
how does this make any sense

Anyone know why the Scythe wielding ones aren't spawning for me? I've been to all their locations, and none feel like showing up for me.

look at the blade closely, there are a bunch of hollow melted on the scythe

does this have the same sweet spot feature that the great scythe has?

Why did they make it exclusive to the SotFS version for? It's SO COOL LOOKING! If it was in the 360/PS3 version I might have actually used Reapers.

if being in wretch status and low your hp to 5% of max boost the damage ?
- Anonymous
it's sad that this weapon practically disables co-op, or online interaction altogether
you can't summon anyone or if you're summoned and the host succeeds you turn into human and have to die again and again to regain NORMAL damage
i wish it was scaling like the dark pyromancy flame instead

I love how in the hands of the Forlorn, this weapon is absolutely lethal and can easily stunlock you if they land even a single blow and can delete huge chunks of your health in a matter of seconds, yet it sucks balls when you use it and has very mediocre damage for how precise the sweet spot is on it, what's with Souls games and having the weapons dropped from certain enemies be 1000% times suckier when you use it compared to when the enemy uses it.
