- This weapon can attack from behind a shield.
- You cannot use any type of item buff on this weapon (ex. Gold Pine Resin or Aromatic Ooze. However, it can be buffed with spells or miracles, such as Magic Weapon.)
- Upgraded with Twinkling Titanite.(all 15 titanite)
- As with all black knight weapons in dark souls 2, the Black Knight Halberd deals both physical and fire damage. It can also be infused with another element (magic, lighting or dark) to deal physical, fire and the infused damage.
- Trivia: Despite it being designated as a Halberd, it resembles the glaive weapon closely upon inspection. A glaive is a polearm with a blade mounted on it.

Parameter Bonus: Strength, Dexterity,Magic, Fire, Lightning and Dark bonuses - The scaling multiplier applied to the [Attack: stat]. Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.
The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].
This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.

Why the hell would a weapon used to fight demons do fire damage?
- Anonymous
Be honest with yourself, you're just mad at it because it ain't easy mode any longer

Here’s a little tip for people who have just found this weapon and don’t know how to get the maximum damage from it, make sure the part that hits the enemy you are fighting is the halberd blade, that way you get all the damage and some bonus fire damage

Apprently some dun bass (cant swear of fextra cuz the kids may see it) changed the damage to be magic. It does not deal magic, it deals fire. Like all Black K***ht Weapons .

I disagree its best to leave it regular with no infusion its benefits much for from ring of balds if it is left regular not infused. It can be aquired before you fight even a single boss in the game. Just 1 fragrant branch of yore will unpetrified the pyromancer and give you access to the shaded wood. From their you can run by every enemy in the game and get the black knight halbred where all the petrified lions are with ease. Why would you want to use a resin on a weapon that requires 9 fth/int to use anyways, not going to break the bank to have one attunement slot for a weapon buff. I didnt have to fight any bosses to get this item it only required farm 12 souls to by the fragrant branch from melita. Then I went back and fought the last gaint with the black knight glave then not so ornstein then dragon rider.etc

negative. 1 Slow. Especially 1h 2 Only for experience users as all halberds in the game. You need to feel the distance and always hit with the blade for full DMG. 3 High requirements. 4 Can't buff with resins. 5 Available very late in the game. 6 Split DMG Positive. If you know how to keep your distance, parry, backstab BKH will produce amazingly high DMG output. I used BKH through all 3 DLC's and love it a lot. Spin to win rips bosses apart. Probably best weapon on NG for Elena and Dragon in Sunken king DLC and king pets in Ivory king. Wouldn't recommend it for Ivory king or Fume fights. I really wish for BKH to be pure physical weapon and a little faster. Do not infuse it with anything under no circumstances especially bad idea is to infuse it with lightning. Split damage in SoTFS suck. Avoid any weapon with more then 2 types of damage.

Hello, I was just doing some testing with effiecient builds for this weapon, my cunclusion is the build in the extra notes is total trash, even if the calculation is correct 633 dmg with 121 points of stats is worse in comparison to some Attack Rating's I achieved. The Data is probably outdated however, I would recommend updating it,infusing the Black Knight Halberd with Lightning is not worth anymore. Fire Infusions give higher Attack Rating's with pretty much every combination of Stats (tested with: 17Str/26Dex/1Int/60Fth and 17Str/50Dex/1Int/50Fth), both had a difference of 15 Attack, hoewever big difference comes from Elemental Split Dmg -> Fire Infusion is better than Lightning not only because of higher total AR but also it only goes through 2 typees of resitances. I only made rough testing&calulating, further testing is most likely needed for 100% confirmation.

Has anyone realized that Gwynn looks like Santa Claus in the statue in ds3?

I hate the fact of this weapon have a bonus of fire, it would be better if it was more like a first game (extremely strong, even though it can not be buffed or infused)

Whit the feature that reduces damage when you hit the enemy too close, this weapon is completely different from how it was in Dark souls 1...it just isnt as good anymore
Look how they massacred my boy
