Curved Greatswords in Dark Souls II are a Weapon type that's larger and more powerful that their counter part which are the Curved Swords. Curved Greatswords are typically used as a two-handed weapon, they're slower than Greatswords in general but they are faster than Ultra Greatswords. Curved Greatswords excel at damage output with speeds comparable to smaller weapons, these weapons mostly use slash attacks but each striker carries more weight behind it as to why it has a higher damage output. The angles of which the Curved Greatswords swings make their range less effective than the traditional Greatswords, but they are still faster which makes them effective when facing multiple opponents.
