Soul of Velstadt is a consumable Boss Soul item in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Soul of Velstadt, the soul of the devoted defender of the King within the Undead Crypt. Velstadt stood faithfully at the King's side, a shadow to his lord. When the King withdrew to the Undead Crypt, Velstadt followed, never to return. Boss Souls are materials used to trade for unlocking various upgrades and abilities, spells, as well as for crafting unique equipment. These Boss Souls are obtained by defeating the various Bosses of the game.
Soul of Velstadt, defender of the King inside the Undead Crypt. Velstadt was always at the King's side, as if he were his lord's own shadow. After the King retired to the Undead Crypt, Velstadt followed, never to return.

- Consuming gives 15 000 souls.
- Trade with Straid of Olaphis for Sacred Oath.
- Trade with weaponsmith Ornifex for Sacred Chime Hammer.

- Obtained by defeating Velstadt, the Royal Aegis in Undead Crypt.

The sprite looks very similar to the Soul of Artorias, albeit smaller.
Is anyone interested do some Sunbro Co-op? I play on both PC (SOTFS) and on PS3 (Vanilla). I have several characters in different levels, from low ones till 17 million soul memory. My nick on PC is: King_Havel And on PS3 is: Dastiefeleid666 Praise the Sun! \o/

Has anybody else wondered why his soul is dark? To me it looks like Artorias' soul...which would be fitting since he is an elite knight.
Crazy one of if not THE hardest boss/bosses doesn't have a better boss soul
