Toxic Mist is a Pyromancy in Dark Souls 2. To cast a Pyromancy, you must use a Flame or Special Weapons that can cast Pyromancy.

Creates a powerful cloud of poison mist.
The poison gradually erodes the target's body, inflicting damage all the while.

Acquired From
- Straid of Olaphis, trade him 1,500 souls and the Royal Rat Vanguard Soul.
Notes
- Applies "Toxic" status effect, which is similar to poison/ It is possible to apply toxic and poison on an enemy at the same time.
- Deals ~1400 damage over 20 seconds.
- Builds up at the same rate as Poison Mist.
- Poison buildup is unaffected by Crest of the Rat or Sanctum Soldier Gauntlets
- The duration is unaffected by Lingering Dragoncrest Ring.
- This is a superior version of Poison Mist. It deals ~25% more damage and ticks much faster, which applies greater pressure on an enemy in PvP.
- The damage isn't fixed. Its in a range of 1380 - 1485.

Awesome spell, since 80% of the bosses can be poisoned/toxic every build should have a dedicated slot for this spell, even if you're melee. Just use it once and start attacking them and you'll kill bosses much faster than before.

If, for whatever reason, you decide to do a pyromancy-only playthrough, this spell is a lifesaver against the Old Iron King. Six casts is enough to take out most if not all of his health, especially if paired with poison mist.

You can cast this on mimic chests and they will not become hostile. They will take damage and just sit there. It's almost enough to kill them outright. One hit from any weapon afterwards and they are dead.

poison and toxic in this game is basically the Dark Souls equivalent to putting a shotgun in someone's mouth. It's just so overkill and one of those things you only use on enemies you really hate

this is my favorite spell. im a warrior and my strenth is high and pyromancey takes no intel or faith so i started mesing with it and thought hmm this is cool lets try it then i started to use this on every guy who was waiting for me to come close and they would sometimes just sit there as the slowly die my toxic. in short this is the best pyromancery spell you could get it works great with mini bosses and pvp too. so ya, GET IT NOW!
