Tseldora Den Key

tseldora_den_key.png

Key to the den in Brightstone Cove Tseldora.
The fools who wander into Tseldora, unaware of the ancient deeds that still haunt the cove, are transfigured into unspeakable malformations."

Tseldora Den Key is a Key Item in Dark Souls 2.

Usage

  • Opens a locked door in Brightstone Cove Tseldora. Before it there is another one that says ''too heavy to open''. Smash the door with a strong attack. After that use the key on the locked door. There are two chest inside (be careful, the chest on the left is trapped and will explode when opened).
  • If you kill Pate at the very beginning of the game in the Forest of Fallen Giants you can still exhaust Creighton's dialogue and meet him in Tseldora. He will figure out that you killed Pate before him and demand that you hand over the Ring of Thorns. If you hand it over he will give you the key.
    • Note: Only by attacking one of the two and helping finish the target will the surviving party thank you and give you the key. If you do not attack either, the survivor will regard you as if you did not help at all.

Location

  • Given by Pate or Creighton in Brightstone Cove Tseldora.
  • The player must exhaust all dialogue with both characters before that fight appears. Pate must be talked to in Forest of the Giants and Earthen Peak. Creighton will be found in Huntsman's Copse and the Shaded Woods.

A Low chance, but if swinging a heavy aoe weapon such as a Greatsword, watch your swings. If you're strong enough, its possible to kill both of them on a strike by accident before obtaining the key.

Seeing as how they both try to get you killed, just kill the other guy too after he gives you the key. That ends the questline anyway.
