Dialogue
- First meeting without a Token of Fidelity
Transient being.
This is no place for one such as you.
Be gone. You are not needed.
- When talking again without a Token of Fidelity
Transient being, nothing has changed.
You would never make a Knight of the Blue, and I have nothing more to say.
Be gone. You are not needed.
- When talking with a Token of Fidelity / Original request to join covenant
Transient being.
You have obtained proof, you are worthy of joining our Order.
You may call yourself one of us, and are free to plant your roots in this garden of the gods.
Be proud. I, Targray, do proclaim, from this day, you are a Knight of the Blue.
Rejoice, and bask in your new honour.
- Answer "yes"
You are no longer a mere vagabond. You are now a guardian, a Knight of the Blue.
Proud knight, take this.
Wear this ring, and shine light upon stone.
Then, you will hear the voices of the blue apostles.
Listen for their cries of help, and repel the malicious invaders.
This is the proud work of the Knights of the Blue, the way they elevate themselves to a higher plane.
I'll provide what you need. You may visit me at any time.
- Answer "no"
Do my ears deceive me?
Who would refuse such magnificence?
Gods, have mercy…on this halfwit. He knows not what he speaks.
- Talking again when not a member of the covenant / Request to join covenant
You are a wandering transient.
Do you rescind your ways, and seek honour as an apostle of blue?
- Answer "yes"

Ohh Gods…have mercy…
- Talking when one is a member of the Blue Sentinels covenant
Proud knight, you may come to me, Targray, for help.
- Using 'Talk' option
We Knights of the Blue must rely upon one another to achieve our greater goal.
Present your Token of Fidelity.
…to test your strength against other knights.
(or)
We Knights of the Blue must rely upon one another to achieve our greater goal.
Take your Token of Fidelity, and stand there.
…to test your strength against other knights.
- Using 'Talk' option
Proud knight, aim high in all things.
We knights must protect the apostles of blue.
Never forget this fact, and by your honour, never eschew your training.
- Using 'Talk' option
There are others in this forsaken place who have only a lust for blood.
They conspire to ambush blue apostles on the road.
Knight of the Blue, protect our apostles from these bloodthirsty brigands.
Take pride in your duty as a Blue Knight.
Work hard, and pursue a higher plane.
- When talking as a member of the Brotherhood of Blood covenant for the first time (?)
Ooh…Ooooh…Unthinkable…
Be gone…And be forever transient.
- When talking as a member of the Brotherhood of Blood covenant again (?)
Be gone…There is no mercy for your kind.
- When leaving, having used his services
Pursue your work, Knight of the Blue.
- When leaving, without having used his services
Do your work, and I will lend you strength.
- When walking off without closing the menu
Go, and be proud.
- Reach Rank 1 in the Blue Sentinels covenant
You've achieved much, and approached a higher plane.
But our path is long and arduous.
We must always seek further challenges.
- Reach Rank 2 in the Blue Sentinels covenant
Knight of the Blue, you have accomplished much.
You are closer still to a higher plane.
You will continue to lead the weak and misguided.
May you always stand proud.
- Reach Rank 3 in the Blue Sentinels covenant
We walk along an endless path.
Along the way, we see glimpses of a higher plane.
We challenge ourselves, until we breathe our last breath.
- When giving equipment to the player
Take these.
May you achieve great things.
- When attacked and aggroed
You are my greatest challenge.
- When killing the player
By my knight's honour…
- When re-encountered after aggroing
Welcome back, my greatest challenge.
When attacked and health is under 50%
This is the ultimate challenge…
- When killed
Great Sentinel…lead me home…
- Unknown
Brave knight…Be proud.
Trivia
- He is voiced by Daniel Flynn, who previously voiced Solaire of Astora, Vamos and the Giant Blacksmith in Dark Souls, and, curiously, he also has a credit on a My Little Pony fan animation series, Snowdrop, as "pony classmate 2"
- Anonymous
Awfully arrogant and condescending for a lazy pos who does nothing but stand in one place staring at the ocean
- Anonymous
Kinda funny that he's voiced by the same guy who voices Solaire considering the fact they're almost polar opposites, Solaire being basically beautiful rays of sunlight if they were a person, an absolute bro who's always there to help and is generally just a joy to be around, whereas you have this guy who's about as charming as a rusty nail stuck on a buffalo's ass, and is generally just an annoying snob and a complete condescending douche to you if you don't suck up to the Blue Sentinels, I mean he basically calls you a useless piece of garbage the moment you talk to him without a token of fidelity, and throws a hissy fit and calls you a half-wit if you don't wanna join his covenant, Needless to say, screw this guy, one of those few NPCs who I don't feel guilty about murking their ass one bit
- Anonymous
I could've sworn I've heard his voice before in a FS game. Anyone has a clue?
- Anonymous
I can't believe they got Pony Classmate 2 to voice a character in this game. From Soft really pulled out all the stops

Called me a halfwit so I caved his head in. Better a halfwit than to have half a skull.

For the snowdrop fan animation the is reagan murdock not daniel flynn.

While he is a ass in multiple ways at least he respects your fighting prowess even if he wins he unlike most other NPCs respects that you still are powerful
I wouldn't recommend killing him. You may never know when you need boltstones...

when i met this guy, i had already joined the blue sentinels from that guy in majula. then he has the guts to tell me that 'i will never become a blue knight'. this guy's a jerk and his halberd isnt even worth killing him for
- Anonymous
This guys first words to me were talking smack. So i executed him and didnt look back. That'll show him!
Is anyone interested do some Sunbro Co-op? I play on both PC (SOTFS) and on PS3 (Vanilla). I have several characters in different levels, from low ones till 17 million soul memory. My nick on PC is: King_Havel And on PS3 is: Dastiefeleid666 Praise the Sun! \o/

I killed him offline, and my world was invaded by at least ten fragments of his vengeful spirit, each of which is ten times as powerful as himself. They are apparently also permanent additions to this area, so I can't go there without being butchered by his many ghosts. Is this specifically a sotfs thing? And has anyone else had this happen? When I saw the army of them I nearly wet myself. Geez
