Covetous Silver Serpent Ring is a Ring in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Covetous Silver Serpent Ring, a silver band portraying the snake, the emissary of Zandroe, the god of greed. Greed is commonly seen as a flaw, but only a fool would let it spoil a golden opportunity. Players can equip up to 4 Rings, but equipping two of the same item is not possible. Some rings have upgraded versions, having a maximum of +3. Some can only be found in NG+. Rings can be repaired at a blacksmith, but not upgraded. - +1: Acquired from the traveling Merchant Hag Melentia who will give it to you after you spend around 10,000 souls in her shop. Just use the Talk command to claim it. Alternatively it drops when you kill her.

DS2 Covetous Silver Serpent Ring Tips and Notes
- Effect stacks with other soul increasing items such as the Jester's Gloves. The effect stacks multiplicatively e.g. if you use the +1 ring and receive +20% and wear the Jester's Gloves and receive their +10% then the total effect will be 32% or 1.20*(1.10*Base Souls). Furthermore you can stack multiple soul increasing items. If a player were to wear the ring +2 (+30%) and Tseldora set (+22.5%), then the souls they would receive would be approx. 59%, The effects of the ring also apply if you are playing as a phantom.

Not very descriptive these descripive guides. Could use a bit more context please.

Its a little confusing but i got it: you only need to use 1 ascetic on the 3rd Bonfire above the mythia boss room and kill her to get the +2 ring. If not, then you can get the ring only in NG+.

For +2 is it ng+ only or with an ascetic? Wiki says its both

as we can see by its increase of weight each plus on it which also adds the 10 20 30% bonus souls gained, we can infer the more weight you put on the silver serpent ring the more souls you get. so 20 pound ring will set you up for a level up per mob killed

if it's multiplicative, then ring+2 + tseldora set would give you 58,6% more souls instead of the 52.5 written in there

how do you equip more than 30+ soul arrows to the sorcerer's staff?

bruh @ that last note 30% + 22.5% = 52.5% is addition not multiplication. does it actually stack multiplicatively or not
I didn’t know you could get the +1 version before the normal one. Will definitely make the game faster.
