Shortens spell casting time. |
Clear Bluestone Ring is a Ring in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Clear Bluestone Ring is a ring that once belonged to Fiorenza, the singular prosperous merchant of Volgen. This ring accelerates spell casting and was a testament to Fiorenza's wealth amassed through the acquisition of luxury items and rare collectibles. Players can equip up to 4 Rings, but equipping two of the same item is not possible. Some rings have upgraded versions, having a maximum of +3. Some can only be found in NG+. Rings can be repaired at a blacksmith, but not upgraded. Upgraded versions must be acquired throughout the game from corpses, chests, bosses, etc.
A ring that belonged to Fiorenza, the only truly moneyed merchant in Volgen. Shortens spell casting time. Fiorenza used his riches to buy up trinkets of luxury and rare collectibles, but was ruined after years of excessive debauchery.

if you are an int caster and want this ring consider using the spell yearn - really makes the fight much easier

definitely worth the ascetic on a caster build. killing the skeleton lords is kind of annoying as a mage, but its easy once you realize you can kite the skeletons across the arena forever and slowly chip away at them that way.

If anyone was wondering the bonfire you use the ascetic on to get skeleton lords to respawn for the +2 is the undead lockaway

Fextralife says +2 is 55%, Wikidot says it's 40%. Which one is the right one?

Plus two dropped for me in forest of fallen giants on a brand new play through from armorer Dennis.

Do you have to be in NG+ to get it from the skeleton lords or can you get it from using bonfire aesthetics?

My first Sorcerer run and Dennis dropped +2 version in the forest of the fallen giants. Talk about luck.

I noticed that when casting the lightening spears (while wearing this ring) it’s noticeably faster if you do it standing still.
Walking will make it slower.

I've heard conflicting reports that this increases pyro casting speed. But theres no mention of it, anyone know? I have a really bad eye for casting speed.

Armorer Dennis can drop the +2 ring in the forest of giants

Pretty sure Dennis will has a chance to drop the +2 version wherever his second invasion occurs. I had him drop it at the Forest of Fallen Giants after he'd already invaded me at Iron Keep

Should be noted that the Clear Bluestone Ring does affect all forms of spells, whether Sorceries, Miracles, Hexes, or Pyromancies. This is because it increases your character's Cast Speed. The reason why, it looks to me, may seem unnoticeable on Miracles is because it shaves off very small amounts of time on your miracle casting. Couple that with what can be assumed, that there would be diminishing returns on Casting Speed, so even with the fasting casting chime and a +2 Clear Bluestone Ring, it would only cast so fast. It is quite plain that healing miracles were not intended for in-combat casting therefore. This is not done from extensive testing on my part, but from observation playing several Faith characters.

I'm have Dragon Chime infused with lighting and I'm not seeing a difference when I'm using Soothing Sunlight (large AOE healing miracle). Can anyone confirm if it works or what's going on?
The cast speed (stat) percentage increases taken from my 3 save files:
1st save (NG) only has Clear Bluestone Ring, Clear Bluestone Ring +1.
2nd save (NG++) only has Clear Bluestone Ring, Clear Bluestone Ring +2.
3rd save (NG) only has Clear Bluestone Ring, Clear Bluestone Ring +1.
Mild variance due to rounding, but:
Clear Bluestone Ring = approx 24.5% increase in cast speed stat (101 to 126. 131 to 163. 134 to 167.) Or you could say it shortens spell casting time by approx 20%
Clear Bluestone Ring +1 = approx 53.5% increase in cast speed stat (101 to 155. n/a. 134 to 206.) Or you could say it shortens spell casting time by approx 35%
Clear Bluestone Ring +2 = approx 66.5% increase in cast speed stat (n/a. 131 to 218. n/a) Or you could say it shortens spell casting time by approx 40%
