Their palm slam attack has some serious lingering hitboxes, I often find I'll take damage from it even if their hand didn't even touch me because I just happened to touch the dust blown up from the impact of their palm smashes, it's rather annoying but nowhere near as bad as the bullshit hitboxes of something like the Imperfect or Ds1's Titanite Demons.

I highly doubt they're made in imitation of giants, they're basically the same thing as Drangleic's Golems only they're hostile

they seem to take more damage from blunt attack (like all the other statues ennemies in the game), so if you have a hammer or club, use it instead of slash damage

They absorb your souls. So if you use agape ring, make sure you don't have any souls. It's just 'suck'.

On higher segments after the Inner Wall bonfire, there are three of these giants at the center of the room, circling a chest. After killing one of the three soulless giant will generate a soul to be absorbed by the remaining giants.

They can be killed even if they arent activated. Tested on multiple golems at eleum loyce.

Looks scary and hits very hard, but extremely easy to dodge around.

They’re activated if you kill an enemy nearby them. They’ll absorb it’s souls, then awaken and attack.
