Hunting Dog is an enemy in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2). Hunting Dog, a mutated canine created through experiments by Lord Aldia. These dogs are not a naturally occurring species and are found only in areas where they were introduced by the Dragon Acolytes. Enemies have their own behavior and unique attacks, killing enemies provide various drops that reward players with items and souls.

A mutated canine born from the experiments conducted by Lord Aldia. Hunting Dogs are not a naturally-occurring species and are therefore only found in areas to which they were introduced by the Dragon Acolytes. A number of them were dumped into The Gutter over the course of Lord Aldia's research and continue to prowl its depths in search of anything that might serve as a meal.

- Some of their attacks have weird hitboxes. The most notable being their bite attack, which can damage you if you are attacking the dog from behind.
- The bite attack can be parried, but the dog cannot be riposted. However, it is stunned for quite some time.
