      - design an enemy for backstabbing
      - the only way to kill them in melee that isnt annoying is to backstab them
      - make a backstab immune variant

      thanks dark souls

The way they refuse to be baited is annoying, but it also means they won't chase you very far when you run past them all.

These ****ers made me realize how unbelievably artificial SotfS difficulty is. Every step of the way you have to fight an army of them. And you can't even lure them, some of these ****ers are hardcoded to come with the rest of their buddies if they go full aggro. And you can't even backstab the spear ones, and their range with their spears is beyond stupid.

I know remember why I put 500+ hours in vanilla and was only able to play once trough SoftS. It's difficulty is just plain and simple dogshit

These guys are a real pain at NG+4. Idk what the heck is wrong with them. They are extremely tanky, have DS1 Poise and deal almost 1/5 to 1/4 of my health. And I'm level 730 something. I breezed through Shulva and the Brume tower but these guys are the first real challenge since my playthrough started. And not in a good way. I used to like Eleum Loyce when I first went there but after 4 runs I saw the issues this place has. And that's for me the enemy placement and the quantity. I'm not Salty or anything but I have to say that I prefer Shulva and Brume over Loyce now. Which is sad because the White King is one of my favorite bosses and I really like the layout of Loyce. Well... So easily can a mind change. And it's all thanks to one tanky bugger enemy. Maybe another weapon will deal with them better.

Yeah let's just make the most frequent enemy in the area a shield turtle with a huge hitbox, able to dodge and immune to backstabs. Oh and they always come in groups
