Long ass spear, tracking attack even if you roll, chasing you through the map, and having hyper armor so you can't stagger them while they are in mid of their attack animation, yup a recipe for an annoying enemies..
**** these guys, they literally just poise through all of your attacks and deal more damage to you than you can do to them. I have problems with literally 0 other enemies in this game, but it's like this enemy has a magnet stuck to his tiny ass spear that somehow poise breaks havels in one hit. Rampart golems? Easy. These guys? I don't even try if there's more than one

Who designed these things, and how overpowered did they expect players to be by the time they reach the dlc

They have a spear thrust that goes through shields, which is finished off by a powerful finisher that can really ruin your day. They have a downward stab that shoots a ground-based line of spikes toward the direction they stab toward. They can throw their spear. Also, they're extremely annoying to deal with one on one, you should spend your time luring them away from their territory until they start retreating to their territory. This will cause them to back away from you, allowing for some potential free hits. Your mileage may vary on this.
